Titilaka, CIRQA, PUQIO and Tinajani
CIRQA
A Relais & Chateaux property in the heart of Arequipa, Peru’s second largest city, CIRQA effortlessly weaves together its 16th century roots with a 21st century take on hospitality and cuisine. A converted monastery dating from the 1540s built around an elegant central courtyard, stone walls, flagstones and high-vaulted ceilings connect guests to Arequipa’s colonial past. The hotel is close to the city’s main square and a host of colourful monasteries, cobbled streets and colonial architecture in abundance.
Titilaka
Lake Titicaca needs no introduction; South America’s largest lake, bordering Peru and Bolivia in the high Andean uplands, the lake is famed for its floating islands, windswept surroundings and unique cultures, all surrounded by a backdrop of towering Andean peaks to create a truly spectacular setting. Titilaka, on a remote peninsula that extends in to the lake, is the perfect place from which to enjoy the stunning vistas; with water on three sides, surrounded by terraces and over-water decking, the 18 rooms offer unrivalled lake views, whilst expert guides and gourmet chefs complete the experience.
PUQIO
The newest property in the collection, PUQIO is a unique concept inspired by the age of exploration. Luxury tents and adobe casitas, bedecked with woodburning stoves and writing desks, invoke a rustic simplicity reminiscent of a bygone age as guests explore the little-known Colca valley and its fascinating pre-Inca culture and history. Standalone bathtubs, spa treatments and a culinary experience inspired by the surrounding landscape allow guests to relax and unwind after days exploring this captivating region; a beguiling combination of high-end luxury and uncomplicated elegance.
Tinajani
Opening April 2025, Tinajani is Peru’s second tented camp by Andean, a family-run Peruvian company. Set in a private 150-hectare (370 acre) nature reserve, this privileged setting is located along the route connecting Cusco with Puno and the Colca Valley. In keeping with Andean’s ethos of reusing and reimagining existing buildings for their projects, Tinajani comprises an old farmhouse and 6 safari style tented camps.
