Located in the historic centre of Arequipa in a UNESCO protected site, this former monastery dates back to the year 1540 when the city was founded. Inspired by the dedication monks would show to travellers in times past, CIRQA, built around a principal courtyard and patio, pays homage to its heritage by carrying on warm Arequipenean traditions of hospitality and service. The 11 rooms retain architectural touches from the original monastery, whilst the cuisine is inspired by local produce and rural picanterias. Beyond the hotel’s stone walls, visitors have a multitude of short, half-day and full-day excursions designed to showcase the best that Arequipa has to offer, led by expert local guides.

Property Location
CIRQA is located one block from Arequipa’s Plaza de Armas, within walking distance of many of its finest cultural sites. There are daily flight options with LATAM from both Lima (home to Hotel B) and Cusco (perfect for Sol y Luna) to Arequipa’s airport (AQP); the transfer from AQP to CIRQA is 30 minutes by car.
From Cusco, visitors can also travel by train to/from Arequipa on the Andean Express; the journey takes two days
